HydraFacial is one of our most popular treatments because it delivers an immediate improvement in skin health, hydration and radiance without the downtime associated with more intensive treatments.
Every treatment is tailored to your skin on the day. Whether you’re concerned about congestion, dehydration, dullness or simply want healthier-looking skin, HydraFacial gently cleanses, exfoliates, extracts impurities and infuses the skin with nourishing ingredients to leave it feeling refreshed and glowing.
At Face Oxford, we take an evidence-based approach to skin health. If HydraFacial is the right treatment for your skin, we’ll tell you. If something else is likely to give you a better result, we’ll tell you that too.
Your HydraFacial treatment
Cleanse & Exfoliate

Hydrating ingredients, antioxidants and peptides replenish the skin.
Protect & Glow
Your skin is left looking brighter, smoother and healthier immediately after treatment.
HydraFacial is suitable for most skin types and can be tailored to many different skin concerns. However, treatment may not be appropriate if you:
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have a known allergy to salicylic acid (salicylates) or any treatment ingredients
- have an active skin infection, cold sore or open wound in the treatment area
- have significant sunburn or severely irritated skin
- are taking isotretinoin (Roaccutane) or have recently completed a course
- have recently had laser resurfacing, medium/deep chemical peels or other procedures where the skin has not fully healed
Before every treatment we’ll review your medical history, medications and skin condition to ensure HydraFacial is safe and appropriate for you. If we don’t think it’s the best option, we’ll explain why and recommend a more suitable alternative where appropriate.
A HydraFacial is a patented, non-invasive skin treatment designed for all skin types. It’s a hydradermabrasion treatment that cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates the skin for the best skin of your life.
The treatment can be given in as little as 30-minutes and gives instant, long-term results. There is no pain or downtime, even during the extraction stage of the treatment.
Some patients choose HydraFacial every 4–6 weeks to maintain healthy skin, although others book before holidays, weddings or special occasions for an instant boost.
We also have HydraFacial as part of our memberships, so we can chose between this and other treatments depending on how your skin is, or what we are working on.
Yes. Most people notice brighter, smoother and more hydrated skin straight after treatment. The skin often continues to improve over the following few days.
As with all things, if you do this as part os a skin health routine, which includes skincare at home and regular treatments (evev if these are only every 2-3 months) you will see better, longer lasting results.
No. HydraFacial is a comfortable treatment with no needles or downtime. Most patients describe it as relaxing, with the extraction stage feeling like a gentle vacuum rather than anything painful.
There is usually no downtime, so most people return to work or normal activities immediately. We recommend avoiding intense exercise, excessive heat and active skincare ingredients for the first 24 hours.
HydraFacial is excellent for improving hydration, radiance and overall skin health. If your main concerns are acne scarring, pigmentation, skin laxity or deeper lines, we may recommend treatments such as SkinPen Microneedling or NeoGen Plasma instead. We’ll always recommend the treatment that’s most appropriate for your skin.
Yes. HydraFacial works particularly well alongside Dermalux LED and can also complement treatments such as SkinPen Microneedling and NeoGen as part of a personalised treatment plan. It also forms part of the options of our skin memberships, which allow us to work with your skin over a longer time and therefore really maximises your reults.
For Hydrafacial, most people can have treatment without a separate consultation. If your skin is more complicated, we may recommend you swop to a full skin consultation before any treatment. This does not happen often, but we always prioritise your skin health as our number one priority.
For the majority of people, you will have a mini consult before your treatment. If you are happy to go ahead and after you have completed our skin health form and signed the consent form, we can begin!
Please view prices of each option our booking system, using the BOOK NOW buttons on this page (Prices start from £124 for the 30 minute Signature treatment).

How to prepare your skin for Dermaplaning?
• Stop exfoliating: To ensure the skin is not damaged by over-exfoliation, discontinue all exfoliants, including AHAs, BHAs, enzymes, micro-beads, and retinoids for five to seven days.
• Skip the retinol and the sunbathing: If you’re currently using Retin-A, discontinue use for seven to fourteen days prior to the treatment. You should also avoid sun exposure for five to seven days prior to ensure you do not have a sunburn.
• Let your hair grow: Hair removal such as waxing, threading, and shaving should be avoided for at least two weeks before dermaplaning.
• If you breakout… In the event of active acne and raised lesions on the day of treatment, it’s best to reschedule until the skin is fully healed. There is also a six-month waiting period after Roaccutane.

Aftercare?
Your skin is able to absorb products more easily, so really a good skincare regime is recommended after dermaplaning. In addition, you will be more sensitive to UV light, so SPF 50 is essential.
Full aftercare instructions will be provided.
